Our readers are welcomed and encouraged to contribute their own unique articles. If you’ve got a great and interesting idea but not sure how to turn it into a great and interesting article, tell us what you had in mind and we’ll consider taking a shot at publishing it — and we’ll give you creative creds! Follow these guidelines to help us help you get your article submitted:
1. Contribute stuff that covers… well, you know what our readers like:
– Ways to… (e.g., 7 wise ways to handle your divorce, 10 Subtle Ways To Tell Her She’s Getting Fat, etc.)
– Reasons to… (e.g., 20 killer reasons to quite smoking, 5 great reasons to make new friends, etc.)
– And our readers also enjoy other unique and useful lists of things (e.g., 10 things you thought you knew about sugar, 20 constitutional misconceptions (hrmmm… think I’ll tackle this one right now!), etc.)
2. Write a blurb for each of the items mentioned in your list (of course everyone knows quitting smoking saves money, but offer some additional trivial info about this). Interesting content increases the chance of getting your article published.
3. Your article should be 300-words minimum and must be unique; we realize that similar articles may exist — a rose is a rose, but it can’t be the same rose, or we won’t publish.
4. You only need to write the list, you don’t need to provide the graphics. Although, if you have relevant photos and images that go along with your article, send ‘em along or provide link to where they exist and we’ll prepare ‘em. For your original article and images, we’ll give full credit with a brief bio about you and up to two links back to your own site or blog, if you have one. Get noticed and build traffic!
